Our Projects

Our challenge is to find the best design solutions to create stunning gardens in the UK and Europe using principles of traditional Japanese architecture and arts. When we begin to work with a client, we carefully assess and analyse the site, considering the climate, surrounding landscape and locally sourced materials, as well as the client’s inspiration for its users. The existing natural resources such as spring water feeding into the site, stones and landform & grounds are much appreciated. We think of the best solution to use locally available garden building materials and existing conditions of the gardens. The key elements of Japanese garden design such as stones and trees&plants are carefully selected and they would be arranged one by one on site. A new build commission will require creative vision while researching history of old Japanese gardens is such a critical part of restoration projects. We research the history of these gardens, and our restoration work ultimately aims to preserve the gardens’ storied past while instituting meaningful connections to the present.

Europe’s longstanding fascination with Japanese culture and arts inspires our deepest involvement in the creation of new Japanese gardens and the restoration of those remarkable Japanese gardens that were built in the beginning of the 20th century.
